Dekima Daniels Leaphart is the Coordinator for  Basketball Cheer Teams at ECHS. She is also the Varsity Head coach and assistant to the JV Basketball Cheer Team. and has been the coach for the East Coweta High School Step Team for the past four years. In the past four years she has led her team along with the assistant coach to achieve the team's first ever National Competition and State Titles. She is very passionate about the success of the teams! She is also a dedicated science teacher at East Coweta High. She graduated from McIntosh High School and has a B.S. degree in Biology from Georgia State University, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix, and a Education Specialist degree in Science from Nova Southeastern University. Coach D became interested in the performing arts at an early age. She has over 15 years of competitive dance, cheer, and acting training. She is married to Chrisswell Leaphart and they have three beautiful children, Destin, Deven and Marley. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her niece, Nahla, and her nephew, Tariq,

Latasha Washington-Williams is the Asst. Coach for Varsity Basketball Cheer and the Head Coach for the Junior Varsity Basketball Cheer Team.  Mrs. Washington-Williams has been a faculty member of ECHS since 2004, and since then she was one of the original coaches for the East Coweta High School Step team in 2005, she volunteered with the Purple and Gold Squad, and SGA before being the co-sponsor.  Mrs. Williams is the epitome of school spirit.  She graduated from Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette, Alabama where she was a cheerleader, a member of the marching band and color guard.   She has a B.A. Degree in Psychology from Tuskegee University, a Masters in Psychology from Walden University and earned her Education Specialist from there as well in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.  Currently Mrs. Williams has finished all her doctoral classes and is working on her dissertation for her Doctorate of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.  She is married to Demetrius Williams and they have the "Triple M's" as children (Madison, Malia, and Matthew).  When she's not busy overachieving at work, she spends time with her friends, family, and her boxer dog Buster.
