Thank you to everyone for trying out for the Basketball Cheer Teams at East Coweta High School. Having the courage to try out for a team is amazing and we are very proud of all of your efforts! Rather you made the team or not, ALWAYS be proud of yourself and confident in everything that you do! Please know that not making the team is not the end. If you would like specific feedback to assist you in future tryouts, please schedule a time to come and visit the coaches so that we may go over your score sheets.

You are required to be at the MANDATORY meeting on Monday, April 23, 2018 directly after school in room 616. Any missing paperwork must be submitted by Friday, April 27th. This includes physicals. Grades will be checked for all those selected to be on the team. Any grades 70 and lower will cause you to immediately be placed on probation. You will have until the end of the 2018-2019 school year to get grades up or be dismissed from the team. Mandatory weekly grade checks will be required. More information will be provided at the meeting.
A mandatory parent meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 6:30pm in the 9th grade cafeteria. A $300 payment towards the Cheer Fees is required at that time. Please make all checks payable to ECHS Basketball Cheer Team.

You are immediately responsible for upholding the high standards of this team. These standards include being a POSITIVE member at your school through your interactions with your teachers, administrators, peers, and social media. You are to congratulate those that made the team and encourage those that did not. Being a part of this team also includes that you are academically on target and responsible, and that you will take an IMMEDIATE effort to increase your endurance through daily exercising and healthy eating habits.
You need to run a mile at least 4 times a week. You need to drink a gallon of water every day.
Do the following exercises at least 4 days per week:
30 push ups
6 - 30 second planks
40 jumping jacks
2 - 60 second T's (arms straight out and tight)
Acceptance forms are being sent to the parent emails on the application. The acceptance form must be submitted in 24 hours.
